Cold with wintry showers, turning less cold by the weekend.
Today:
A cold day with a mixture of sunshine and blustery, wintry showers; heavy and frequent particularly later bringing a mixture of rain, sleet, hail and snow with thunder possible. Maximum temperature 7 deg C (45 deg F).
Tonight:
The wintry showers will continue overnight, however becoming less intense and frequent by dawn. Cold and frosty with icy stretches on surfaces left wet by showers. Minimum temperature -2 deg C (28 deg F).
Thursday:
Generally dry and bright, still feeling cold though. The risk of a light wintry shower during the afternoon. Cold and clear overnight. Maximum temperature 8 deg C (46 deg F).
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Turning cloudy and perhaps damp later on Friday, but less cold with outbreaks of rain during the weekend.
