Patchy cloud giving the odd light shower mostly clearing this morning. The day generally dry and bright with some weak sunshine. Cold with temperatures only a degree or two above freezing over many inland parts. Maximum temperature 4 deg C (39 deg F).
Becoming cloudy with rain spreading into southern parts later in the night. A cold night with a frost over many inland areas. Minimum temperature -1 deg C (30 deg F).
Cloudy cold and windy with rain reaching most parts by midday. The rain turning to sleet or snow over some inland areas.. Maximum temperature 4 deg C (39 deg F).
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Continuing cold and windy with sleet and snow gradually clearing from the north later on Wednesday or early Thursday. Brighter weather following but with wintry showers. Night frosts.
